Some clients create special challenges with their mental health or personality difficulties. This session will explore both, defining the differences between them. A discussion of postpartum mood disorders will include maintaining lactation and counseling strategies.
About the Presenter:
Nancy Williams, MA, MFT, IBCLC, CCE has been providing lactation help and support for 40 years and has been a national speaker for 30. She has been a perinatal educator and consultant since the late 1970’s. Her second career is that of a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her passion is to explore the larger picture of the mother-baby dyad in the context of the breastfeeding relationship. Since 2000, she has served as Adjunct Faculty in the Psychology Department of Brandman University in Santa Maria, California, United States.
