The ILCA Annual Conference provides a rich learning environment for lactation professionals and others who assist mothers and babies with breastfeeding. It offers current and aspiring lactation consultants information on cutting-edge lactation practices and research to equip you in giving optimal breastfeeding care and support to mothers and babies.

Exam Review at ILCA
The JW Marriott will serve as an official 2012 IBLCE Examination site on Monday, July 30. Conference attendees planning to take the exam Monday will have an opportunity to attend an Exam Study Day on Sunday to review test questions and test-taking tips, and practice relaxation strategies in preparation for the exam.

Online registration is now open. If you do not want to register online, please fill out the conference registration form and fax or mail it to the ILCA office. ILCA Members will receive a hardcopy of the Conference Registration Brochure in the mail in January. Please email registrar@ilca.org, if you are not a current member of ILCA and would like a copy of the program.

What’s new this year?

ILCA Lounge
An ILCA Lounge will be open during afternoon and evening hours for you to network with colleagues and unwind after a long day of sessions.

Win a free iPad!
Register early to attend the full or main conference and you will be entered into a drawing to win an iPAD 2! The winner must be present during the ILCA Annual General Meeting on Saturday.

Spanish translation of plenary sessions!
Attending the Wednesday Spanish presentations? You can also listen to plenary sessions on Thursday and Saturday translated into Spanish. A $50 refundable deposit will reserve a set of earphones for you. Be sure to mark this on your registration form! Your deposit will be returned when you return your earphones.

Silent auction
Enrich ILCA scholarship and research grant opportunities by participating in a Silent Auction during the opening of the exhibit hall Wednesday evening! Please consider donating an item and join in the fun of bidding on items donated by others. Be creative! Any item is welcome – either personal or breastfeeding related. Attendee donations will be added to those donations by exhibitors for a grand display that will be a highlight of the opening social! Click here for more information about the silent auction.

Hotel reservations can be made by calling the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lake directly at 1-800-266-9432 from the United States and Canada and from overseas. Please be sure to tell them that you are attending the ILCA Conference in order to receive the special US$165 single/double room discounted rate. This discounted rate will be given to ILCA registrants for room stays between July 22 and August 1, 2012. Reservations can also be made via the hotel’s secure website by clicking here.

Directions and Transportation
The JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes is located at 4040 Central Florida Parkway, approximately 10 miles SW of the Orlando International Airport (MCO). The hotel does not provide shuttle service. An estimated taxi fare is $50.00 USD (one way). Hello Florida® will offer conference attendees a coupon for a $26.00 USD (round trip) service provided by Mears Shuttle Service.
