Fellows of ILCA

Congratulations to the two newest Fellows of ILCA who will be formally recognized at the 2016 ILCA Conference:

Decalie Brown, Katoomba, NSW, Australia

Sue Saunders, Alfred Cove, WA, Australia

The ILCA Board of Directors created the “Fellow” of the International Lactation Consultant Association (FILCA) designation to primarily recognize significant voluntary commitment to ILCA and also the professional excellence and achievements of the leaders and mentors in the field of lactation consultancy.

Application Process

This self-nominated, self-funded designation for ILCA members as a “Fellow” of ILCA (FILCA) recognizes financial membership and proven commitment to ILCA. After an initial application fee and the FILCA designation is achieved, membership as a Fellow is maintained by paying a small annual fee along with one’s ILCA membership fee.

All eligible ILCA members, who meet the criteria oulined below, are encouraged to submit their FILCA application to permit their recognition as a Fellow of ILCA (FILCA).

The 2015 application process has concluded.  Please check back in October 2015 for an application if you are interested in applying.

A candidate for Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association must meet the following requirements:

  1. Ten years financial membership with ILCA
