Print and Multimedia Reviews
(Members Only)
ILCA reviews books, DVDs, videos, CD-ROMs, and websites that
are of interest to lactation consultants. The main purpose
of the review is to inform the reader of the merits of the
product so that the reader can determine whether the product
is worth reading or viewing. Therefore, reviews may include
negative as well as positive statements. The goal is to be
fair and balanced, while still offering a clear opinion.
Writing Reviews -
Review Guidelines
Anyone interested in writing a review may contact the review
editor. Indicating personal interests and expertise will
help in assigning appropriate material for review. Readers
are also encouraged to notify the review editor to suggest
titles for potential review.

"What is an IBCLC?"
Brochure - Unavailable at this time. Check back in
2008!
Supplies of "What is an IBCLC?" are
available from the ILCA office. The brochure is a simple
two-fold leaflet that describes an IBCLC's scope of
practice, settings where IBCLCs are found, details about
becoming an IBCLC and contact information for ILCA and the
IBLCE. The brochure was produced by the International Board
of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) in collaboration
with ILCA. Information packets sent from the ILCA office now
include it, and it's also a useful promotional tool for
affiliate events, conferences and IBCLC Day celebrations.
Contact info@ilca.org or
info@iblce.org for more information
or to request copies. (Available in North America only at this time.)
