The International Lactation Consultant
Association (ILCA) promotes the professional development,
advancement, and recognition of International Board
Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) worldwide for the
benefit of breastfeeding women, infants and children.
ILCA membership runs on a calendar year (January 1 to
December 31). If you join between January and September,
dues will be applied to 2007, and you will receive back
issues of the JHL. If you join between October and December,
your membership will begin on January 1, 2008.

Partner Program:
Here's your opportunity to support and foster disadvantaged
individuals and groups interested in Lactation and Lactation
Consultancy in 2008.
General Scholarship
Fund: This is a general scholarship fund to
assist with an individual ILCA
member attending the annual ILCA conference. The scholarship
has provided opportunities for ILCA members from developing
countries and others with hardship needs to attend the annual
ILCA conferences. In doing so, they are able to share their
experience and knowledge gained with their colleagues, thus
providing educational opportunities and support for
breastfeeding in their own local areas.
ILCA would like to be able to offer several scholarships for
the VELB/ILCA 2008 Conference
in Vienna or the Las Vegas
2008 ILCA conference. However, as this fund
depends on donations to continue,
donations are needed now.
