ILCA Policy Statement on Creating a Safe and Inclusive Environment
ILCA is an equal opportunity volunteer organization and employer committed to principles of the broadest form of diversity. We foster an inclusive environment that supports leadership, advocacy, professional development, and research from varied perspectives. We support global access to skilled lactation care and the IBCLC® profession. Therefore, speech and actions that create an unsafe space for employees, volunteers, or attendees at ILCA conferences or other public forums, who are members of social groups historically or systematically targeted by systems of oppression, are not permissible. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging in oppressive language and behavior on the basis of race, sex, class, gender identity/expression, religion, sexual orientation, age, nationality, ethnicity, and ability.

Third Annual Meeting of the Global Partners Program
This year’s Global Partners Meeting has been incorporated into the conference itself in the form of conference sessions in our Advocacy Track, as well as the Global Partners Panel.
The plenary, concurrent, and workshop sessions in the advocacy track offer continuing education units for Global Partners and all conference attendees.
The Global Partners Panel, "Furthering the Global Breastfeeding Agenda through Local, National, Regional, and International Advocacy” be held from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm, Friday, 21 July, will offer 1 continuing education unit, and will be a part of our Virtual Conference. The Global Partners Panel features representatives of three of ILCA’s Global Partners: Arun Gupta of the Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India, Zoe Faulkner of the Lactation Consultants of Great Britain, and Rosalie Sarasua of the Association Québécoise des consultantes en lactation diplômées de l'IBLCE. All conference attendees are welcome to join the conversation!
Accessibility for All Attendees
ILCA works hard to ensure that the conference is accessible to all of our attendees. For questions about accessibility or to request accommodations please contact email@example.com. Two weeks advance notice will allow us to provide seamless access. Accommodations at ILCA include but are not limited to: wheelchair accessibility; reserved seating for those with mobility, hearing, and/or vision differences; accommodation of service animals; and American Sign Language interpretation (as requested).
Information for Families & Babies
We support families! ILCA welcomes infants-in-arms and non-separating children to our conference. We ask that you be mindful of the needs of your children while being sensitive to other conference attendees. A room will be set aside with a refrigerator and comfortable seating for families and for those who would like to express and store their milk. Please bring your own breast/chest pump.
We need you! Volunteering is an excellent way to get involved, meet new people, and help ILCA to provide an excellent conference to its participants. Make sure to sign-up on your registration form. You will receive an email with expectations and instructions closer to the date of the conference. If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
