The Ethics and Code Committee provides support and information to the ILCA Board and ILCA membership on matters of ethical practice in lactation consultancy. The committee identifies ethics issues relevant to an IBCLC's daily practice and the work of ILCA members and the ILCA Board. They provide ongoing support on matters involving professional ethics, especially implementation of The International Code, by surveying materials, articles and position papers; and identifying issues where IBCLCs seek guidance for ethical practice.
